Building Your Company FSMA Preventive Control Food Safety Plan

October 26, 2017 2:00-3:30PM EDT

Overview:

The deadline to develop and implement a preventive control food safety plan to comply with FSMA requirements has passed. The plan must include a hazard analysis, allergen analysis, factory profile, recall plan, food defense plan, supply chain controls, process preventive controls, sanitation preventive controls and other items. The plan must be reviewed and approved by a preventive controls qualified individual (PCQI) and it must be validated.

It is not surprising that many individuals responsible for the development of a company’s preventive control food safety plan who have attended a PCQI training course remain confused.
